Video Editor

We are seeking a talented and culturally-aware Video Editors to join our mission-driven team. You’ll take raw footage (talks, interviews, tutorials) and shape it into polished videos—adding cuts, transitions, captions, and basic sound design. • Edit engaging Islamic video content including lectures, reminders, short clips, reels, educational series, and community highlights.
• Color-grade and clean up audio as needed.
• Create promotional videos for events, workshops, campaigns, and online programs that resonate with the Muslim audience.
• Produce high-quality content for social media, YouTube, websites, and digital platforms in various formats and aspect ratios.
• Ensure all videos align with Islamic values and are culturally appropriate, modest, and respectful in visuals and messaging.
• Collaborate with content creators, speakers, and marketing team to bring Islamic storytelling to life through visual and audio elements.
• Develop consistent video style and branding in alignment with the organization’s visual identity and tone.
• Incorporate Islamic aesthetics and nasheeds thoughtfully, avoiding impermissible content like music or inappropriate visuals.
• Stay current with video editing tools and trends
• Respectful, professional attitude with alignment to the organization's mission and Islamic values.

• Proven experience in video editing, with a strong portfolio showcasing a variety of content types (e.g. short clips, YouTube videos, reels).
• Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or similar.
• Understanding of social media platforms and best practices for video formats, lengths, and styles (Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, etc.).
• Ability to work with different content types: lectures, promos, infographics, and educational videos.
• Good grasp of audio editing and sound balancing for clear speech and background usage.
• Familiarity with Islamic teachings and values to ensure content is appropriate, modest, and respectful.
